My name is Elvira Gienal.

My name “Gienal” has been the reason for many amusing encounters and when I speak I cannot really deny my Grison roots.

Together with my four siblings I grew up in Disentis, Switzerland. My mother tongue is Rhaeto-Romanic, hence the name of my practice, Cordial. Heart in Rhaeto-Romanic means “cor” and whole-hearted means “cordial”.

I wanted the name of my practice to be Romanic and easy to pronounce for everyone. So in 2008 the name of my Practice, Cordial, was born.

Even as a child I always had the desire to be of help

Of course not such ordinary tasks like dish-washing and assisting my mother with household chores. I wanted to help in a different way, somehow… I could not understand why in winter the dwarf goats had to sleep in the cold in the barn next door, and very often my mother would find me and the little kids in our kitchen. Again and again, I wanted to save lives.

My career in the health industry

During my professional career, I used to work as a flight attendant, among other things. India was known for massages. I always had to have a treatment during every stay there. There, I discovered my passion, and in the year 2000, my career in the health industry began. I have always stuck to my passion on a part-time basis and followed this path. I have always been continuously developing my professional skills and my dream of my own practice became true.

Today my greatest passion is acupuncture massage and energetic healing. In all these years, I have experienced that we as human beings and all creatures are connected.

From all my heart I want to be the bridge supporting this connection.
